Engagement Process: 5 Steps

  • Identify key stakeholders, constraints, and success criteria.
  • Determine engagement type: advisory, implementation, or managed.

Duration: 1-3 business days. Output: Discovery brief (internal).

Proposal

A formal proposal and Statement of Work (SOW) detailing scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing.

  • Fixed-price or hourly engagement model (see Pricing below).
  • Defined milestones with acceptance criteria.
  • Payment schedule (typically 50% upfront, 50% on delivery).
  • Revision policy: 2 rounds of revisions included per deliverable.

Duration: 2-5 business days. Output: SOW + quote sent to client.

Execution

Active development, research, or advisory work as defined in the SOW.

  • Weekly progress updates via email or shared Notion workspace.
  • Code delivered via private GitHub repository (client added as collaborator).
  • Milestone check-ins at 25%, 50%, 75% completion.
  • Scope change requests handled via formal change order (may adjust timeline/cost).

Duration: Per SOW (typically 1-8 weeks). Tools: GitHub, Notion, email.

Delivery

Final deliverables handed over with documentation and knowledge transfer.

  • All code, configs, and documentation delivered via GitHub.
  • Live walkthrough / demo session (30-60 min).
  • Deployment assistance if included in SOW.
  • Client signs off on acceptance criteria per milestone.

Duration: 1-3 business days. Output: Signed acceptance + final invoice.

Support

Post-delivery support and maintenance period.

  • Included: 14 days of bug-fix support after delivery (defects only, not feature requests).
  • Optional: Extended support retainer (monthly, priced per SOW).
  • Response time: 24-48 hours for support inquiries during business hours (UTC+8).
  • Feedback collection for service improvement.

Output: Support log + optional retainer agreement.
